For The Smith, I was the lead in-house designer for 6 restaurants in the NY, DC and Chicago area working closely with corporate, FOH and BOH managers, along with Culinary and Beverage. I was responsible for the production and maintenance of interior and exterior printed assets such as signage, menus, menu boards, menu chalkboards, cocktails to-go, packaging, investor gifting and to-go delivery collateral. In addition to the design and activation of branded material, I was the point person for other items needed to support the restaurants like water bottles, oil and vinegar bottles, aprons, postcards, napkins, VG slips, stickers, check presenters and more.
I partnered with the Operations team on a place for restaurant employees to review important SOPs, best practices and menu descriptions by designing a custom bulletin board, called “The Everyday Smith”. Once I coordinated the custom fabrication, organized the boards and distributed the guidelines across the locations, the operations team was responsible for sending the documents for each section.
Furthermore, I worked closely with our co-packer to activate shelf stable products such as Bloody Mary mix and hot sauce. These were sent out as gifts to friends and family during the holiday season complete with branded postcards and shipping tape.
